Sandhole Oak Barn Wedding
Covering Lauren and Kane’s Sandhole Oak Barn wedding was a real privilege as a wedding videographer. Their marriage ceremony took place at St. Peter’s Church, Elworth, and their wedding reception followed on at Sandhole Oak Barn, in Congleton. This wasn’t the first time I had shot a wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn, it’s a venue that I enjoy every time I work there. I am very blessed to work in such spectacular locations as a wedding videographer.
Lauren and Kane were both overjoyed, that finally, it was their wedding day! Kane had been telling Lauren he’d marry her since he was 13 years old. Family and friends present at St Peter’s Church Elworth witnessed Lauren and Kane exchange vows in an heartwarming ceremony, with a special reading from Grandad.
Lauren & Kane hopped in the Beauford to make their way to Sandhole Oak Barn, whilst the wedding guests all travelled in a red double decker bus. Sandhole Oak Barn was decorated beautifully and was the perfect spot for the newlyweds to welcome their guests. Everyone was happy and were enjoying themselves as drinks kept coming. I walked around shooting the guests as they relaxed and talked.
The more Spring weddings I film, the more I enjoy them. The sun came out for the day, which was a blessing, and meant we could spend most of the time outside.
As the guests were being seated ready for their wedding breakfast Kane’s mum let me know that they’d booked singing waiters as a surprise, and that they’d begin during the dessert. The guests tucked into their three course wedding breakfast, and as the desserts were being brought out I set up my cameras ready for the singing waiters. All of a sudden there was a loud crash as one of the waiters fell to the floor, bringing a plate of silverware with him. The guests were startled, some of them bursting into fits of laughter. It was a great way to start the singing waiters, who were absolutely fantastic!
After the singing waiters it was time for the speeches. Filming the speeches is one of my favourite parts of a wedding, especially when you get a speech as amazing as Lauren’s dads. There wasn’t a single dry eye in the barn!
Lauren and Kane really know how to create a wonderful wedding and it was a joy to share it with them.
Lauren & Kane’s review:
“I genuinely couldn’t recommend Laura enough. Having a wedding video was something we nearly didn’t do as we hadn’t thought much about it but I can honestly say it was the best decision we made from the whole day! Our video is amazing, the service from Laura is amazing throughout the whole journey and all my friends and family will be using her services in the future!”Share
